Abstract

This article examines the development of self-confidence in students as a psychological phenomenon. It analyzes the scientific and theoretical foundations of self-confidence, its role in the views of Eastern thinkers Abu Ali ibn Sina, Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Kaikovus, and Jalaluddin Rumi, and Western scholars Z.Freud, A.Bandura, K.Rogers, A.Maslow, and others. The role of self-esteem, self-awareness, stress management, social support, and mentoring in the development of self-confidence is emphasized.
