Abstract

The article describes the practical significance of teaching the topic of carboxylic acids based on a competency-based approach in organic chemistry. Based on the competency-based approach to teaching organic chemistry, students will have the opportunity to develop new materials that develop organic thinking skills, design experiments, and metrologically interpret the results. Existing problems of infrastructural and digital competence in the education system were analyzed, and the effectiveness of the proposed methodology was substantiated. This article reveals that the importance of improving the educational and methodological system of teaching organic chemistry based on the digital library of organic sciences, research-based educational technologies, and reverse learning approaches is related to the competency-based approach.
