THE ARTISTIC FUNCTION OF THE CHRONOTOPE OF MEMORY IN K.ALLAMBERGENOV'S NOVEL «THE YEARS WHEN THE RIVER DRIED UP»

Abstract

Using K.Allambergenov's novel The Years When the River Dried Up as an example, this article analyzes the artistic function of the chronotope of memory in revealing the personal destinies and inner psychology of the characters during the Era of Stagnation. The novel demonstrates the role of the chronotope of memory in constructing a retrospective plot and revealing the protagonist's psychological experiences.
