Abstract

The article examines, from a comparative linguopoetic perspective, the role of the leitmotif in shaping the system of poetic images in Uzbek and Karakalpak lyric poetry. It analyzes the semantic development of the images of the arrow and the wave in E.Vahidov’s poem An Incident at Delhi Airport and T.Jumamuratov’s poem On the Wave.
