Abstract

Hydrographic resources in the Fergana Valley were assessed through drainage density and proximity to water bodies. The analysis used HydroSHEDS and the Global Surface Water dataset. It found that 52.3 percent of the valley lies within one kilometre of water, while high drainage density is unevenly distributed among the three subregions. The findings support place-specific planning of waterfront recreation, active routes along mountain rivers and cross-border tourism corridors.
