Abstract

This article provides a systematic analysis of the natural population movement (demographic dynamics) and territorial characteristics of the Shurchi district for the period 2010–2025. The main focus of the study is on the dynamics of changes in birth and death rates, their socio-economic, cultural, and environmental factors, as well as the complex of causes. The analysis noted a high birth rate, a relatively low mortality rate, and as a result, a stable natural increase, which is associated with the age composition of the district's population and family values. At the same time, the relationship between the state of labor resources and labor market supply and demand is specifically considered: it has been established that the gender composition of the population and migration flows (especially the outflow of youth to cities and abroad) play an important role in shaping the quality and quantity of labor resources. The study provides an important empirical basis for a deeper understanding of demographic processes and the formation of regional policy in rural areas such as the Shurchi district.
