Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the artistic features of English proverbs and sayings. The article highlights the role of proverbs and sayings as figurative and concise artistic units that express folk wisdom. English proverbs and sayings are not only linguistic units but also represent an important artistic and aesthetic phenomenon.
