The article examines the linguistic, linguistic and psychological features of the development of the vocabulary of students on the basis of self-development, research on the formation of interest in students to samples of fiction, the formation of students' personal cognitive activity.. Teachers have studied certain groups of motives for awakening students'interest in artistic literature. Recommendations were given on the appropriateness of using texts written in the form of small-scale dialogues in the lessons to attract the attention of students to samples of artistic works.
