Abstract

This article examines the ethnographic vocabulary of the Uzbek folk epic "Alpomish" and the French folk epic "Chanson de Roland". It was found that the ethnographies of the material and spiritual culture of peoples were subdivided into lexical and semantic subgroups, respectively. The article deals with the ethnographies associated with the musical instruments encountered in the two folk epics and their meanings.
