The actuality of the topic of the article is conditioned by the necessity of teaching the professional communication of the specialists in the field of foreign economic relations. The author of the article studies the content of teaching as an important item of teaching material. There were studied the componens of communication content in teaching professional-business communication in Russian of the students of economical faculties of higher educational establishments. The approaches to determing communicative and linguistic components will promote to the effective organization of teaching materials. The principles of the selection of language material can be important in writing a manual of active type in teaching the language for specific purposes.
