Abstract

At present, the rapid development of technology makes the search for pure phosphor materials one of the most difficult tasks. In recent years, the search for phosphors operating in the ultraviolet region has been one of the most important issues, since such materials are widely used in medicine, conversion and counting of high-energy invisible rays into visible rays, nuclear spectroscopy, and other sciences. in technical areas. It makes a necessary contribution to determining the possibility of using a BaF crystal grown by the hydrothermal method as a phosphor and to studying the phenomena that occur in these crystals under the action of ionizing radiation. Currently, production and technology require phosphors that are resistant to ionizing radiation or, conversely, sensitive. Therefore, the study of the radiation properties of substances is of great importance.
